JCC Launch Party

Join us at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan for a joyous celebration of Ethiopian Jewish cuisine with the exclusive launch of Gursha, a stunning collection of more than 100 recipes, stories, and traditions from the intersection of the African and Jewish diasporas. Gursha, which translates to-the act of feeding one another, is the debut cookbook from chef and restaurateur Beejhy Barhany, founder of Harlem's beloved Tsion Cafe. Born in Ethiopia, Barhany's journey took her from Sudan to Israel and ultimately to New York, a story she now tells through food. This event is a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant flavors of Beta Israel, from traditional dishes like Doro Wot and Shakshuka to inventive creations such as Berbere Fried Fish and Injera Fish Tacos. Let's celebrate culture, heritage, and the power of food to bring people together! Light tastings and wine will be served.

Tickets are available through the link attached.
